[myspace] [website] [MT rating 5 *****] Born in a small country town in New Zealand, Carla began her love of singing on stage, competing in local and national talent quests from the age of 11, and writing her first song when she was 13. After moving to Australia in 1989, Carla moved to Sydney in 1993, where she focused her energies to the craft of song writing, playing the live circuit for 6 years in & around Sydney. Releasing a self-titled EP in 1998, Carla then left for the US to begin working on her debut album, working with producers John Holbrook (Natalie Merchant) & Carmen Rizzo (Alanis Morissette). |
